Daily schedule
Today combines weekly defaults with individual date exceptions. Each row identifies its item as Weekly Default, Date Override or One-Time Item. Cancelled occurrences appear below the schedule and stay off the public display. Previous, Next and the date picker open other dates. Date-specific examples stay populated automatically for future dates, without resets or scheduled maintenance.
Weekly defaults
Each weekday has recurring schedule items, appointments and duties. Inspect time, ordering, type, location, person, notes, series identity and effective dates. Date-only changes affect a single occurrence; future changes start a new effective version of the series, preserving prior dates. The version history below Weekly Defaults includes a previous briefing time.
Appointments and duties
Appointment types include participant and provider fields. Duties identify the assigned person. Both use the same scheduling and date-exception model, with their own screens in the display rotation.
Announcements and configuration
Title-only announcements have date ranges, priority and active status. Active titles appear above the rotating schedule. Untouched sample ranges roll forward; your saved announcement dates stay fixed. Item Types separates Schedule, Appointment and Duty kinds with configurable person labels. Display Settings shows branding, clock, rotation, refresh interval and rollover time.
Connected display
When logged in, Schedule Display and its update checks use your private workspace. Anonymous viewers see only the read-only baseline. Schedule screens rotate every 10 seconds; appointment and duty screens rotate every 20 seconds. The display checks for changes every 60 seconds and retains its last received data during a connection interruption. A visible connection status identifies interruptions. At 9 PM it shows tomorrow; at midnight that schedule becomes today. Dates and the clock use the WordPress site timezone.
Access and operation
Staff manage schedules, announcements and item types in production. Admins additionally manage users and display settings. The demo login can save schedules and settings in its own workspace. Account and password changes remain unavailable. The demo does not send email or use WordPress user accounts.
Where it fits
The same scheduling structure can support schools, churches, nonprofits, community centers, residential programs, staff and volunteer teams, clinics, training centers, recreation facilities, event venues and shared offices. Displays can run in reception areas, hallways, classrooms or staff rooms.
